Sports Pick'em

Predict tonight's real games on your phone. Right picks score, your Lock doubles the stakes.

What Sports Pick'em is

Sports Pick'em is a live game built around real sporting events. The host puts up a slate of tonight's actual games (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, or soccer) and the room predicts how they turn out, all from their phones.

Each game on the slate comes with one or more questions: who wins, the total over or under, the margin, whether it goes to overtime, a player prop, and more. You answer the ones you like. When a real game ends, your picks on it are scored against the real result and the points hit the leaderboard.

It runs alongside whatever else is happening in the room. Nobody waits on a host to read a question; you make your picks early, then watch the board move as the night's games finish.

How a night plays out

Join with the 5-character code, then open tonight's slate. For each game, tap your pick on the questions you want in on. You do not have to answer everything, and you can change a pick freely until that game's picks lock.

Picks lock per game when its real start time arrives (or when the host locks the whole slate and goes live, whichever comes first). Once a game has started, its picks are frozen and cannot be edited.

Pick one pick as your Lock of the Night. You get exactly one Lock for the whole session. It is your big bet: a correct Lock is worth double, and a missed Lock subtracts its base points. You can move your Lock to a different pick at any time, as long as the game it is on has not started yet.

As real games go FINAL, your picks on them are graded and points post to the leaderboard. String correct picks together and a hot streak makes each one worth more.

Host setup options

OptionWhat it controls
Auto-judge after FINAL Default: On
Score every pick automatically once its game goes FINAL.
On: the moment a game's final score lands, every pick on it is graded and points post on their own. Off: you grade each pick by hand from the dashboard, and anything the system can't settle (a push, a tie, or missing stats) waits for you either way. Some pick templates are subjective or manual-only by design; those always wait for your judgment regardless of this setting.
Points per correct pick Default: 50 (range None to None)
The base points a correct pick is worth before any bonus.
This is the starting value every correct pick earns. Streaks and the Lock build on top of it.
Streak bonuses Default: On
Reward players for stringing correct picks together.
On: each correct pick in a row is worth more than the last once the streak gets long enough. Off: every correct pick is worth flat base points no matter how hot a player is.
Leagues Default: host pick
Which leagues tonight's slate is built from.
Pick one or more leagues and the slate fills with tonight's real games from each.
Teams Default: Off
Let players group into named teams.
On: players join a team and the board also tracks a team total, which is the sum of its members.

🏆 Glory Points

Your session points decide tonight's leaderboard. Correct picks by a signed-in player also feed the platform-wide leaderboard, so a strong night travels with your account.

Glory Points are the season-long score that ranks you across every game mode. A completed Sports Pick'em session pays into it once it wraps. See the Glory Points guide for the full breakdown.

Strategy & tips

Get your picks in early. Each game locks at its real start time, so leaving easy picks unmade until kickoff just risks losing them. There is no penalty for a plain wrong pick, so it is worth taking a swing on the close calls.

Spend your Lock where you have an edge, not where the whole room agrees. A correct Lock is worth double, and the rival picks around you are hidden, so a confident contrarian Lock can vault you up the board while everyone else banks the same safe points.

Protect a streak. Once you have a few correct picks in a row, each new correct pick is worth more, so it is worth being a little choosier about which questions you answer while you are hot.

A missed Lock stings but cannot bury you. Your session total never drops below zero, so even a bold Lock that misses only costs you the points you would have banked, never more.

Fairness & the fine print

Picks are graded against the real final result, not a host's opinion. Most questions settle automatically from the official score and stats, so a correct pick scores the same for everyone with no judgment call.

Other players' picks stay hidden from you. You cannot see what a rival locked or how the room is leaning before you commit, so your Lock is a real bet and not a copy of the consensus.

Your Lock is protected against no-decisions. If the game you locked ends in a push, a tie, or gets postponed or canceled, your Lock is freed instead of consumed. It scores as a normal pick with no double and no penalty, and you get your one Lock back to use on something else.

Scores never go negative. A missed Lock subtracts its base points, but your running session total is floored at zero, the same as every other game mode on the platform.

When a result cannot be settled cleanly (a push, a tie, or missing stats), that pick is set aside for the host to resolve by hand rather than guessed at automatically.

Base scoring: a correct pick is worth the host's points-per-correct value (default 50). A plain wrong pick is worth zero.

Streaks: when streak bonuses are on, a run of correct picks pays more (3 in a row adds 10 percent, 5 in a row adds 20 percent, 10 in a row adds 50 percent). The platform applies the largest bonus your streak has earned.

Lock of the Night: a correct Lock is worth double its points. A missed Lock subtracts its base points instead. The streak bonus and the Lock multiplier stack, so a hot streak on a correct Lock can be worth up to about three times base points.

One Lock per player per session. You can re-assign it any time before the game it is on starts; once that game starts, your Lock is committed to that pick.

Sports Pick'em is phone-only and runs on real games, so there is no paper version and picks lock to the real-world start times.

A session can be paused and resumed, so the host can step away without ending the slate early.
